Over 50 Fair 2019

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

10th Annual Over 50 Fair will take place on September 15

July 11, 2019; East Hills, N.Y. – The Over 50 Fair, in its 10th year, returns to the Hilton Long Island/Huntington on Sunday, September 15 from 10-4:30.

The 2018 Over 50 Fair had record attendance with over 700 Baby Boomers and seniors.  Each year, attendees enjoy over 80 diverse vendors, 30 exceptional classes, a singles lounge, live music, beauty queens, and more.

The Over 50 Fair is the brainchild of East Hills resident Barbara Kaplan, who also coordinates the hugely successful All Kids Fair each April.  She said that the Over 50 Fair is “’Overflowing with Opportunities for Age 50+.’  Our attendees enjoy the free health screenings and consults, tech support, and much more.”  Vendors will be promoting local products and services including health and wellness, education, travel, and financial services.

In addition, over 30 classes will be taught by experts in their field as well as some entertaining individuals, including Anthony F. Russo, Esq. of Anthony F. Russo and Associates PC, which will present an Medicaid and Estate Planning talk, Howard Newman with his “Jokesercise Comedy Show,” and singer ReneMarie Testa Adams will perform on her “2019 Unconditional LOVE Tour”.

In the Singles Lounge, sponsored by MTN Matchmaking, singles can relax, mingle, win a free matchmaking membership and maybe meet their “special someone.”

Anything But Surf is a new addition this year to the Over 50 Fair.  There will be live tropical music including a special acoustic set, with favorites by The Beatles, Neil Diamond, The Monkees and Frankie Valli.

Local beauty queens from the Ms. New York Senior America pageant, including 2018 winner Maureen Griffin-Damone will be on hand to pose and “class the place up.”  Mrs. Suffolk County 2018-2019, Bridget Croteau, and Geanna Koulouris, Miss Long Island Teen 2019, will also be in attendance.

This event has been building a loyal following among the Boomer Generation due to its consistent presentation of a variety of classes and products they find appealing.

Repeat attendee Jeffrey Wiesen of Smithtown proclaimed, “the best thing about the Over 50 Fair is the variety of vendors at the booths.  I learned many things from them.  We’ve been attending since the beginning.”

The attendees enjoy connecting with the vendors, and vice versa. Exhibitor Roland Allnach of the Long Island Authors Group shared “This is one of the best managed events that I have attended, and I go to many fairs around the Island.”

The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network), a local non-profit that helps Long Island’s needy, is once again asking people to bring non-perishable food and cash donations to exchange for raffle tickets to win for valuable prizes.

Admission tickets, which include access to all classes and exhibitors, are $6 online, $8 at the door, and free for Veterans with ID.  Attendees may bring one adult child free with their paid admission.  The Hilton Long Island/Huntington is located at 598 Broad Hollow Road, Melville, just south of the Long Island Expressway.

Sponsors for this year’s event include Orchard Estate of Woodbury, Dream Vacations, BluePrint Wealth Alliance, Pinelawn Memorial Park, Blank Slate Media, 50 Plus LifeStyles, Long Island Business News, and 516Ads.com / 631Ads.com.
